About Me

I'm so excited to be a part of the Beaumont Family.  I grew up in Claremont, Ca and went to UC Irvine for my undergraduate degree.  I worked for a couple of years in Corporate Training and Development before moving to Washington DC to attend graduate school at American University where I received a Masters in Elementary Education.  I taught second and third grade at Hyde Elementary in DC.  After moving back to California, I had many part time teaching roles in the Encinitas Union School District. As I enter my 22nd year in education,  I am so happy to return to Beaumont as a fifth grade teacher .  I have been happily married for over 20 years to my husband Jim and we have 3 wonderful kids, Nathan, Eliott, and Sophie and a pretty cute dog named Charlie.

Study your stems and impress your friends and family!

Don't forget that each week you have 10 stems to study.  Study them every night and you will rock the test on Friday.  Why study stems?  Stems will help you figure out the meaning of many long and complicated words.  Become a stem expert and you will become an amazing word detective!
