Message from the Principal
Beaumont families,
We hope that your holiday season was filled with warmth, joy, and family. 2020 has come to an end and it has been an unforgettable year. We are looking forward to the start of a new year and new opportunities. We feel incredibly fortunate to work with such an outstanding community of students, staff, parents and community partners. It has reaffirmed my belief that our students are strong and resilient.
As COVID cases reach new highs, we continue to ask for your help to keep our school community and students healthy. Please remain socially distant from members outside of your household, wear a mask and frequently wash hands. Travel is not recommended and for any travel, quarantine for 14 days is highly recommended. We greatly appreciate your support and wish you health.
Please take a moment to read the important update below.

This means that your child will be learning virtually this week, starting tomorrow.
Helpful information and reminders:
-All students were sent home with their devices, charger and materials before winter break. If your child was absent, please come by our office on Monday to retrieve your child’s materials for virtual school. We are open from 7:15 - 3:30.
-Devices should be charged today and materials in order. Many children find the use of headphones beneficial to focus and learn.
-In order to prepare for the transition to virtual instruction, some teachers may assign more independent work on Monday.
-Staff contact list
Expectations of virtual school:
- You can find your child’s schedule on their teacher’s Canvas page.
- Your child should log on to the zoom session first thing each morning, usually at 8:00 or 8:15.
- After zoom sessions, your child should complete and submit independent work. Learning does not stop mid-morning.
- Children learn best when their camera is on and they can interact with their teacher and friends.
Learning Model Changes
In December, our office contacted almost every Beaumont family to re-register students to either continue with their teacher or change learning models. If you selected for your child to switch to virtual or in-person learning, we will be contacting you this week about changes to your child’s teacher. Learning model changes will go into effect on Monday, January 11th.
