A Year of Continued Growth at Beaumont Elementary School!

2019-2020 has proven to be a year of exciting progress here in Vista! Beaumont has taken on the challenge of becoming one of two elementary schools in Vista Unified focused on creating and implementing multi-tiered systems of support in the following areas: Behavior, Academics, and Social Emotional Instruction. At Beaumont, our goal is for ALL students regardless of age, race, zip code, language, physical challenge, intellectual ability, capacity, or competency are provided with the most inclusive learning environment. We are working diligently to establish an integrated, comprehensive framework that focuses on instruction, differentiated learning, student-centered learning, individualized student needs, and the alignment of systems necessary for all students' academic, behavioral, and social success. We strive to include our families and community members as partners where they have options for meaningful involvement in students' education and in the life of the school. We closely monitor our student outcomes and evaluate our continuum of services that address their academic, behavioral, social-emotional, health and well-being needs. Again, the challenge of becoming one of two elementary schools in Vista to commit to all areas in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is a testament of the greatness of where Beaumont headed!

This school year we have continued with wheeling classes for all grade levels. Students have been engaged in exploring character education, music/band, engineering, gardening, and art during their wheeling days which offers a chance at receiving a well-balanced education. While students participate in unique lessons, their teachers and I collaborate on the following: Project-based Learning, first-best instruction in literacy, math, English Language Development, science, history/social-science, and we analyze data to know what our students need. This collaboration is moving us in a positive direction!

Beaumont enrollment is experiencing growth as we focus on becoming the school parents want to bring their children to for a stellar education in academics as well as becoming mindful, kind, and empathetic. Our staff is committed to learning and collaborating in order to bring their "A game" on a daily basis! Within the last two years, we have had 4 of our very own teachers complete their Masters degrees, their dedication is a constant inspiration and I am proud to serve them. Stay tuned, the best is yet to come at Beaumont!
